Bhubaneswar, 21.2.24(BP News)All India Mahila Congress President  Mrs Alka Lamba while addressing a press conference on the women's justice said that the condition of women in Odisha is very very serious.

Every day 7 women are gang raped and out of which 4 are minor girls. Not only that the missing children in the state are in an alarming condition .

Odisha tops the list in the country for crime against women and missing children.

Odisha is ranking at no.1 state in human trafficking and out of the total victims highest number are women.

The Mahila Congress under the leadership of Meenakshi Bahinipati will go to every District and Block along with leaders of Mahila Congress to fight for the social, economic and political justice of the women of the state . More than 74% of women in the tribal district of Odisha are suffering from  anaemia. The wasting and stunting child birth is also very high in the state in comparison to the National average.Today also, a  pregnant woman being carried on the cot to the hospital.

Naveen Patnaik govt is using 73 lakh SHG women groups for vote bank politics but in reality their earnings are only 17.67 Paisa per day.

Naveen Patnaik Govt is earning huge revenue from  liquor sale.During 2000 when Congress Party left govt the earning from liquor was only 114.82 cr but today it has reached to Rs 6455 cr. In last 10 years revenue from liquor sale has increased to 368%.
Women are facing serious challenges because of the rise in liquor sales.

The claim of SHG group economic development is completely a blatant lie on the part of the govt .The women of the state should come forward to save their economic, social and political rights .
